Hey guys!! I’m so excited to be adding my first recipe, a blueberry matcha smoothie, to Daydreaming Pink! Now, I don’t know if this recipe has been made or posted before on the World Wide Web. I am in no way claiming it to be exclusively mine. With that being said, I threw some stuff together and it tasted pretty good, so I thought I’d share!

So, while we were visiting Hammonasset beach, we stopped into Savvy Tea Gourmet in Madison, Ct. I love a good tea, but it’s usually grocery store tea. I was more than a little excited, and I was not let down by my experience. We were browsing all these pouches of tea, and given full descriptions of anything we were interested in. I ended up with a pouch of Matcha Smoothie Mix, which I have never made before. This was just the stuff of dreams for me prior to our visit. Side note: They have a super cute tea room!! Afternoon tea anyone?
I used a little extra ice, because I was worried that I didn’t have enough smoothie to fill my cup. But I ended up having extra, which my son chugged without complaint! It was very smooth, not too thick which I figure is from the extra ice. The recipe won’t have the extra ice included. And if you use frozen blueberries, I don’t think much ice will be necessary at all. So without further ado, let’s get to it!

I hope you enjoy this recipe. It’s not overpowering in flavor, however if you want it sweeter, you can never go wrong with a dash of whatever you prefer. Personally, I like to add a little honey.
