I don’t know about you, but as a stay-at-home mom to three, laundry just never ends. It’s one of the most common jokes of parenthood, the never-ending laundry. I don’t understand where it all comes from. Who wears this many articles of clothing?? When it comes to the adults of the house, it’s definitely my husband who goes through the most laundry. We do our laundry and I have about…6 articles of clothing to every load and the rest is all his stuff lol. I have to do a load everyday if I want to keep that under control, which to me is insane. He works from home people!! lol.
I on the other hand, don’t feel the need to change three times a day if I don’t have to. I don’t know how you feel about that, please don’t get grossed out lol. Let me be clearer, if I have nowhere to go and I’m just home with Char working on my blog then why am I getting dressed?? Yes I still change again before bed because I definitely can’t bear to wear the same thing two nights in a row.

On the days that I do have errands to run and things to do outside of here, or when I just need to feel like a human, my go-to article of clothing is leggings. Collective “ugh”. I know leggings have such a bad rap, just like yoga pants but hear me out. I chase kids around all day, I need to be able to move without being pinched and squished into a pair of jeans. If you don’t feel that way in jeans, then I’m jealous lol. But I’m not talking about any cheap, see-through when you move slightly leggings. I’m talking about compression leggings! I’m obsessed, and I’m not ashamed. These puppies look damn good, on my “work in progress” body and they make me feel good too.
I hadn’t even thought of purchasing compression leggings from Victoria’s Secret before. It was actually my baby sister who bought these for me for Christmas. They sculpt everything, there’s no see through, and they make my butt look great!! That’s a must have in my book!
Staple Item #2
This next piece is so comfy-cozy, you will just die. It has sold out on the website at least twice that I know of so far. It’s fleece, it’s nicely oversized and it has pockets so I’m smitten. I also was able to grab it in cream and light pink. Sold! Let me introduce you to this beauty, the Asymmetrical Snap Popover from Abercrombie and Fitch. I bought it, because my baby sis had asked for it for Christmas and obviously it was love at first sight. She didn’t get the cream/pink, luckily, she wanted the grey and black popover.
For myself, I bought an XL and I was going to save it for a reward for getting through my Whole30. I didn’t honestly think it would fit because, well as much as I love Abercrombie it’s not exactly geared towards women struggling with excess weight. I was feeling a bit confident so I tried it on, and it fit! It fit nice and loose too, but not hanging off me. It was perfect! I ordered my sister the Large, she still has the body of someone who’s never carried a child, so it will be nicely oversized for her too. I don’t think you would want this to fit snug-ly. Fun fact: I live in this thing all day except when I’m cooking or washing it lol. It’s that comfy.

Last but not least, I bring you footwear. Normally, I wear flip-flops until it’s no longer practical and then I switch right to Uggs. I have no honest need for anything with a heel, and I always have a hard time with sneakers. They usually don’t look right, to me, with leggings or they slide off my heel or I can’t find the right socks for them. It’s such a hassle. I used to have an extensive sneaker collection, but then I got pregnant with Char-baby and my feet grew again. Getting into blogging opened up a whole new world of Instagram accounts, filled with styles including sneakers and I found the pair I knew were the one!
I can actually wear these sneakers all day without feeling any aches in my feet. I always thought there was something wrong with my feet because other shoes would make my feet feel horrible after a few hours. And, to top it all off, they’re Rose Gold!!! This is what dreams are made of lol!! They have other colors too, if you’re just not into the pink. Bonus: They match perfectly with my Abercrombie Popover! I feel very on trend wearing this, which is an old feeling I forgot about since getting pregnant.
(The original sneakers I posted sold out, so I found the next closest cute pair and linked them!)
So, there ya have it. This is my go-to outfit for feeling good, comfortable and able to get through these crazy days. Tell me, what are some of your everyday staple favorites?? I’d love to hear from you and be sure to connect with me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest!!
