Hello Dreamies and Welcome Back!
I know it’s been a while, but so much has happened since I saw you last and before I got into anything more I wanted to welcome you all back and update you on what we’ve been up to! In March, I posted my top picks for Easter and Spring dresses. Since then, I packed up an entire house and we moved an hour away to our new home in this cute little village. You read that right, it’s actually a village! It’s like a whole other world, I still can’t get over it.
We are a 10 minute walk away from the center of town and the Farmington River. The schools are top-notch and the library is just out of this world! One big thing we’ve had to grow accustomed to since moving is the black bear population. Last year there were over 400 sightings reported to DEP in this area. We’ve definitely had to make some adjustments and it was a little scary at first, especially the time I realized while walking home that there was a mama bear and her cubs in my backyard! But don’t worry, I got Charlotte and myself inside safely and took pictures from inside the house. Talk about one of my fears coming to life before my eyes, I was so terrified!
What We Have Been up to Since We Moved
The kids finished out the last 6 weeks of school here, which was tough but they adjusted well. Since then we have been living to our new normal in this quiet, quaint little village. Summer was pretty rough with all three kids home, not knowing anyone around us and having family an hour away. Even the beach is an hour away! We spent a lot of time at the library and playing (safely) outside, attended the Firemen’s Carnival, and Brian and I got to spend two nights in New York City kid free. We also celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary (whaaa??!) in August. Man how time flies…
It’s been a year since I launched Daydreaming Pink and in celebration of that I’ve switched hosts and spent a lot of time recently trying to make this page as beautiful as its name sounds. Keep an eye out, because I plan on talking about how much fun that was (insert eye roll here).
My Goals Going Forward
Now that the school year has started again, my house is empty. That’s right, my sweet sidekick Charlotte has started school (I’m not crying hard, I promise). She will still remain my mini model and inspiration though because girlfriend loves taking photos! Check out these first day of school pictures!
Going forward, my goal is to bring you more great outfits and recommendation guides, talk about life married to a traveling salesman, while parenting three kids with a lot less help then I might have had before. I hope to make you laugh, cry, or just distract you for a few minutes. To stay up to date on all the new content headed your way, please make sure to follow me on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter! And as always don’t be afraid to say hello, I’d love to hear from you!!
